RACE INFO
LIVERSEDGE HALF MARATHON
CAR PARKING
To all runners
Unfortunately, we are once again very restricted in the parking we can provide and whereas I am confident we can find a parking space for all competitors, we would appreciate your help in this regard and ask you to share cars if possible.
The main car park is in the school field adjacent to the start/finish area. There is limited parking here, which may be reduced by inclement weather.
Places here will be issued ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS and our marshals will strictly enforce this policy.
Other car parks are somewhat spread about the village, though none are more than
½ mile, and an easy walk, from the start/finish area. There is very limited on-
All car parks will be signposted and marshals will be on hand to assist you with any problems. Should you pass one of the car parks on your way to the race, please use it; car parks nearer the start may already be full.
Finally, please be aware that our staff are needed elsewhere at the start, and throughout the race, the car parks will not be staffed from 10.45am onwards.
PLEASE BEAR THIS IN MIND WHEN PLANNING YOUR JOURNEY
Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Marshals and Road Safety
Your safety whilst competing in the Liversedge Half Marathon is of paramount importance to us.
To this end, the start and finish area, together with all parts of the course are staffed by our own Officials and Marshals. They are fully briefed and able to assist you with any enquiries you may have.
Please follow the directions of race officials and marshals at all times. That way you can concentrate on what you have come to do, ie run the Liversedge Half Marathon. We will, as far as possible, look after your safety.
Many of our staff are volunteers, who are not members of Roberttown Road Runners, they are therefore giving of their time freely. To that end, and with regard to the time of year, the race committee has decided not to expect staff to remain on the course for long periods; we will therefore start to withdraw our staff (in stages) from the course approximately 2½ hours after the start.
If you feel it will take you longer than 2½ hours to complete the course, please speak to our staff at race registration where you pick up your race number before the race starts. We will provide you with a map and directions on completing the race and WILL have a staffed and equipped vehicle on the course to assist you should you require it.
Roberttown Road Runners welcome and encourage ALL runners, whatever ability they have. The finish area will remain open until the last runner crosses the line, regardless of the time. The final competitor will get the same reception as the first, together with the now famous Liversedge Half Marathon tee shirt.
Thank you for your co-
